Agreement
By using papertail, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the app.
Service Description
papertail is a budget tracking application that connects to your bank account via Plaid, monitors transactions, and sends push notifications with budget summaries.
Account
- You must be 18 or older to use papertail
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device
- One subscription covers one bank connection and up to two devices (partner sharing)
Subscription
- Price: $9.99/year (USD), auto-renewable
- Free trial: 7 days, starting when you connect your bank
- Billing: Through Apple App Store or Google Play Store
- Cancellation: Cancel anytime through your App Store or Play Store subscription settings
- Refunds: Governed by Apple or Google’s refund policies
If your subscription expires or you cancel, your bank connection will be disconnected and your data will be deleted.
Bank Connection
- papertail connects to your bank through Plaid, a third-party financial data provider
- papertail does not store your bank login credentials
- You can disconnect your bank at any time through the app settings
- papertail is not a bank, financial advisor, or financial institution
Limitations
- papertail provides budget tracking information only — it is not financial advice
- Transaction data depends on Plaid’s connection to your bank and may be delayed
- Push notifications depend on your device’s notification settings and network connectivity
- papertail is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind
Liability
papertail is not liable for any financial decisions you make based on information provided by the app. Budget calculations are approximations based on available data.
Termination
We may terminate your account if: - Your subscription expires and is not renewed - No transactions are detected for 90 consecutive days - You violate these terms
Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use of papertail after changes constitutes acceptance.
